The Island

A tranquil, peaceful island between Malaysia penisula and Indonesia; of course is Singapore. It only consists of a population about 4.5 million people. It's in the verge of extiction. Nevertheless, Singapore builds a strong fundamental in terms of economy and education. With its strength, Singapore manages to construct an excellent human capital which spurs many foreign investors and students from all around the globe. Currently, it needs to withstand the crisis of economic meltdown in the US where the fall of Lehman brothers, causing the dept of 12 trillion dollars in the world. Perhaps there is a change of wealth from the Western countries to Asian countries in the coming years as the meteoric rise of China and India.
